Romantica 900AM Honors Local Latina Leaders

Ejemplo a Seguir recognizes the efforts of women making a difference.


Laurel, MD- To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Romántica 900am is recognizing the outstanding contributions of local area Latinas for their dedication and service to the Hispanic community. Every year, Ejemplo a Seguir recognizes and commends individuals on their exemplary work, commitment to embracing diversity, dedication to the community and outstanding leadership.

This year, the four honorees are: Susana Flores, Communications Specialist at Casa de Maryland; Viviana Knowles, Chief Development Officer at La Clínica del Pueblo; Ana Negoescu, Director of Education at CARECEN and Sonia Castro, CEO of La Comunidad Unida de Chinameca.

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, Romántica 900am will highlight each Latina and their organization with informational Ejemplo a Seguir radio spots, interviews during the morning show Una Buena Mañana and a special section in

“We are proud of the contributions of these four women and admire how they support the individuals they serve through their organizations. We want more Latinas and Latinos to follow suit and together improve the quality of life in our communities.
