Women Artists from Panama

The IDB Cultural Center presents Panamanian art historian Dr. Monica Kupfer at the Enrique V. Iglesias Conference Center this Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m.

As part of the 2013   DC Environmental Film Festival, Made in Mexico (Hecho en México) (Mexico, 2012, 100 min.) Showcasing  the richness of Mexican music both young and old, from traditional music to pop rock and rap, this film is an inspiring and often funny musical road trip through modern day “Mexicanity.”

UK historian Matthew Parker will discuss his book, Panama Fever, a history of the Panama Canal.

The IDB Cultural Center and Artisphere are co-presenting the Colombian folk ensemble Cimarrón, known for the colorful llanera music.
