GALA Hispanic Theatre Presents La Tenchis in “Burlesque”
Washington, DC [CapitalWirePR] — GALA Hispanic Theatre concludes its 38th season with another hilarious presentation by beloved Salvadoran comedian Julio Ernesto Hernández Yúdice, as “La Tenchis.” After performing to sold out audiences at GALA last year, Yúdice is back for another round of raucous comedy with his latest presentation, Burlesque.
Be prepared to laugh until it hurts! This solo performance will have audiences in stitches with La Tenchis’ comical portrayal of life as burlesque, full of commentary, jokes, and song. Burlesque will be presented in Spanish only on June 25, 26, and 27 at 8 pm at GALA Theatre, 3333 14th Street, NW.

Julio Ernesto Hernández Yúdice has appeared on major television programs in El Salvador since 1987. Among these programs are Telepirata, La Tenchis, Las nietas de Doña Tula, Que Mañana, Duro Blandito, and currently in Tal para Cual on Channel 4. In addition to his televisión appearances, he makes more than 200 appearances a year in El Salvador and has toured to Costa Rica, Guatemala, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.On stage he has appeared in 20,000 leguas de viaje a carcajadas, Rufianana tenías que ser, Político Amoroso Es Mafioso, and Doce milliones y el aguacate. He introduced La Tenchis in 1998 and has since been recognized with the 2004 and 2005 Star Award from El Diario de Hoy in the category Best Female Presenter in a Variety Program.
