U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera To Meet with Next Generation of Latino Leaders
Washington, DC (CapitalWirePR) March 7, 2016 – On Wednesday, March 9, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s (CHCI) Congressional Interns and Fellows will meet with U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera at the Library of Congress. Herrera is the first Hispanic Poet Laureate in our nation’s history.
The meeting will feature a reading of several of Herrera’s poems, a photo opportunity and an interactive discussion with CHCI Interns and Fellows. Media in attendance will have the opportunity to interview Juan Felipe Herrera and the CHCI program participants.
