RADNOR, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Airgas, an Air Liquide company, will feature its extensive innovations for the automation, cutting, welding and fabricating industries at this year’s FABTECH Expo, from October 15 through October 17, 2024, at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center, Exhibit #W4328.
For nearly 20 years, the Airgas Advanced Fabrication team has enhanced welding efficiency through the Unlocking the Hidden Cost of Welding™ program supporting more than 3,000 organizations in enhancing welding productivity. This year, we introduce the Airgas Welding 100 – Welding Performance Indicators report, an index of data from 100 representative welding operations across various industries. This data tracks key performance measures and changes in efficiency to offer actionable insights for improving operations’ quality and efficiency.
Airgas’ exhibit will showcase new technologies, products, and services designed to help customers drive efficiencies and stay competitive. The wide range of equipment and services includes:
Additive Manufacturing:
- Würth Additive Group Kurtz Ersa Alpha 140: The powder bed fusion metallic 3D printer works with a wide range of metals including stainless steels, tool steels and nickel-based alloys.
Automation:
- BotX™ XSR Cobot Welding System: The latest model from Red-D-Arc adds new advanced welding processes and works without cloud connectivity. Available for rental, lease or purchase, this cobot welding system will be featured with the new UR20 arm, an industrial collaborative robot with faster speeds and longer reach.
- Port-A-Weld System: This self-contained system facilitates a power source, manipulator and weld head, on a mobile platform, providing a portable welding solution capable of various welding processes. At FABTECH, it will be paired with Lincoln Electric’s® PIPEFAB™ READY-PAK® welding system with HyperFill® twin-wire solution, which allows users to make larger welds, faster and more easily.
- OTC DAIHEN ECO-ARC 200: This robotic welding cell is economically designed with stationary tables for durability and quick cycle times. The 200 model is ideal for medium to high volume production runs with minimal part positioning.
Certified Low-Carbon Bulk Gases:
- ECO ORIGIN™ certified low-carbon bulk liquid argon, nitrogen and oxygen gases from Airgas offer customers the opportunity to reduce their Scope 3 emissions by providing a complete product cycle offsetting with net zero emissions.
Data-Driven Services:
- Digital Welding Efficiency Analysis™ (DWEA™): This monitoring solution gives customers visibility into how they are performing in comparison to their goals and against their peers, and will be on display with live dashboards in the FABTECH booth.
Gases:
- ARCAL™: The ARCAL line includes five ready-to-weld pure argon and argon gas mixtures, and provides welders with high-quality shielding gas that allows them to produce better welds. ARCAL premium shielding gases come equipped with SMARTOP™ or EXELTOP™ cylinder valve technology to help improve productivity and create a safer work environment.
Heat Treating:
- Cooperheat SideKick: This new heat treatment equipment is powered off of a welding power source, has a two-channel resistance heating capability and built-in data recorder with remote access capability. Red-D-Arc is now an official North American distributor for Cooperheat resistance heating equipment, and Airgas is proud to host the launch of the SideKick at FABTECH.
Laser Welding and Cutting:
- Miller® OptX™ 2kW Handheld Laser Welder: Launched earlier this year, this Class 4 laser welder enhances performance and boosts productivity, welding up to four times faster than TIG with minimal prep and post-finishing. Visit the Airgas booth for live demos in a certified enclosure.
- Machitech Fiber Cube: This compact fiber laser cutting solution is useful for cutting smaller parts and fine machining work. With a small footprint and a professional grade granite frame for optimal rigidity and stability, it requires little maintenance.
Plasma Cutting:
- RADNOR™ Plasma Cutting Table: Airgas’ cost-effective and robust 4’ x 4’ plasma cutting table provides industrial strength, accuracy, easy setup, a compact footprint and is ready for deployment. Paired with the Hypertherm Powermax65 Sync Plasma Cutter, it maximizes productivity by reducing downtime and optimizing cut quality.
- RADNOR High Definition Plasma Cutting Table: This 6’ x 12’ plasma machine includes CAD/CAM nesting software and customer training upon installation. Featured at FABTECH with the Kjellberg® Smart Focus® 300 Plasma Cutting Unit, it offers a cutting range from 1 to 80 mm with high cut quality and speed.
- Hypertherm XPR Plasma Cutting System: This system delivers fast cutting speeds and consistent high-quality outcomes, reducing the labor required to process cutting.
Safety:
- Women’s PPE Collection: This year’s FABTECH exhibit will preview our curated women’s PPE offer designed to meet the needs of women welders and includes flame-resistant shirts and work pants, welding gloves and more.
Matt Williams, Vice President Advanced Fabrication Markets – Business Development, commented: “As we continually strive to help our customers enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and ensure safety, we are excited to showcase user-friendly and smart, sustainable innovations at this year’s FABTECH Show. From laser cutting and automation to safety PPE and welding, Airgas offers a diverse range of solutions to meet our customers’ unique needs.”
