Boston Pickle Club Opens Second Facility in Norwell

South Shore residents gain access to a new category of pickleball centered on inclusiveness, community and instruction.

NORWELL, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The town of Norwell and the South Shore community welcomes an exciting addition to its sports and recreation landscape with a projected opening of its second indoor pickleball facility, Boston Pickle Club. As pickleball surges in popularity, this state-of-the-art facility will cater to the growing demand and the under supply of premium indoor courts in the South Shore.

Conveniently located at Building A, 77 Accord Park Drive in Norwell, the 28,000 square foot facility boasts differentiating amenities for players including ten indoor courts, optimized lighting, 18’ clear ceiling height and the same court surfaces that are used on the Carvana and PPA Tours. Co-founded by highly accomplished South African racquet professionals Johan du Randt and Stephen Mitchell, and fintech entrepreneur Steven Hauck, the trio brought Boston Pickle Club to life with the goal of creating a network of linked clubs that are the ultimate destination for pickleball aficionados in Eastern New England.

«We are thrilled to open our second facility in Norwell and we can’t wait to unveil our product to the South Shore,” said Steven Hauck. «The support and interest from the Town of Norwell and the surrounding communities has been unbelievable. We have a target opening in early December when we plan to bring people together to form an inclusive community around health and fitness across all levels of pickleball. With the Boston Pickle Club, we introduce a new category: a membership-based club with diverse programming for all levels and ages and a teaching and instructional component that is un-comparable in the region.” The Boston Pickle Club is open to the public and guests are welcome.

“The buildout of our new community is off to a great start. Our current membership stands at almost 500 pickle enthusiasts and we expect to open with upwards of 600 members,” commented Johan du Randt. Before Norwell opens, members have access to play at the Hyde Park location. Once Norwell opens, members will have two facilities to choose from. Whether you’re a seasoned player looking for competitive play or a beginner looking to make friends and get a sweat, there is programming for you at the Boston Pickle Club.

Players enjoy:

  • Membership tiers for individuals, families, seniors and juniors featuring benefits that include advanced court booking, league play, club championships, contract court time and members only events.
  • Private lessons with top professionals.
  • Level-based DUPR Open Play.
  • After-school junior classes for age groups ranging from 5-14+.
  • Clinics for varying experience levels designed to develop your skills.
  • League play for those eager to take on some serious competition.
