*** Latino Voters to Romney: «Undocumented youth have a Voice – My Vote, and we will vote against you for opposing the DREAM Act»*
Los Angeles, CA- Latino voters and undocumented youth will be holding rallies in EVERY city Mitt Romney plans to hold fundraisers (Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County) to send a message that undocumented youth do have a voice in this electoral year — the Latino vote! And Latino voters will be voting for those who support the DREAM Act and against those attacking undocumented youth, their families and their education. In this case Mitt Romney who promised to veto the DREAM Act and has touted the endorsement of Pete Wilson, an enemy to Latinos. The rallies will culminate on the 27th in LA for a press conference and large scale march to protest Romney.
In 2012 the Development Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act) failed in the U.S. Senate floor because it lacked 5 votes. This was not only a devastating day for the youth, but for thousandths of mixed legal status families and community members, mostly Hispanic, who have seen these young man and women grow in the country they call home. The California Latino community has decided to speak up! They will come together and pledge that they will use their VOTE to give a VOICE to DREAMers and their families. Candidates, like Romney, will never be welcomed in California!
