BID aprueba US$ 30 millones a Guatemala para justicia penal
La iniciativa será llevada a cabo por la Secretaría Ejecutiva de la Instancia Coordinadora de la Modernización de la Justicia, en la cual participan como entidades ejecutoras el Organismo Judicial, el Ministerio Público, el Instituto de la Defensa Pública Penal y el Ministerio de Gobernación.

El programa ayudará a Honduras a mejorar casi 330 kilómetros de carretera desde la ciudad de El Progreso, cerca de San Pedro Sula, hasta las localidades balnearias de Tela, La Ceiba y Trujillo, zonas con gran potencial para el turismo y proyectos de inversión privada hoteleros y turísticos ya en marcha.

“Es un reto para la globalización y un reto político para la democracia, porque si los mercados no producen resultados inclusivos, si grandes partes de la población quedan fuera del progreso, creo que veremos tensiones, proteccionismo y fuertes reacciones populistas, y pienso que esto es importante cuando analizamos lo que está ocurriendo en los sistemas políticos en el mundo”, dijo Dervis.
