Argentine Players Will Play the Citi Open 2015

Argentine Tennis players Leonardo Mayer and Guido Pellawill play the Citi Open 2015 in Washington, D.C.

Mayer will play with Andy Murray, Kei Nishikori, and others tennis champions. This year, Mayer raised the highest rank in his career.

During August 1 to 9 the stars of ATP y WTA will come to D.C. to compete at the Citi Open, the nation’s capital tennis tradition. The Citi Open will take place at the William HG Fitzgerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park.


Leonardo Mayer

Began playing tennis at age nine. Considers clay as favorite surface. He was one of top juniors in the world in 2005, reaching a career-high No. 2 ranking in June before finishing No. 5. Reached six consecutive finals from February to May, winning titles in Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil. In doubles, captured five titles in ’05, including Roland Garros and Orange Bowl (boh w/Massa). Currently he is ranked No. 22.
