LEDC will sponsor and exhibit at the 15th Annual Maryland Hispanic Business Conference on Monday, October 3rd, 2016 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.
The conference provides tools, strategies and resources to better support Hispanic businesses – adding to Maryland’s economic fabric. The event attracts an audience of more than 700 entrepreneurs, Hispanic business owners, State officials and representatives of the leading Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
This year’s theme is «ÉXITO! Hispanic Businesses: Fueling the Economy, Creating Jobs & Promoting Growth.» As you know, Hispanic entrepreneurs are America’s business future. The event offers a variety of seminars, along with opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs to tap into training, networking, and mentoring.
New to the conference this year is the «Latino Innovators’ Pitch». The Pitch forum will allow for enthusiastic Hispanic entrepreneurs to present their businesses and concepts to a panel of experts for cash prizes and a year of mentoring support. The Latino Innovators’ Pitch, the capstone event, underscores the importance of the increased number of dynamic Hispanic businesses.
We are committed to strengthening small businesses within the Hispanic and minority communities. Hispanic entrepreneurs are fueling our nation’s economic growth. In fact, Hispanic-owned businesses surpassed 4 million, contributing $661 billion in combined annual revenue last year. Hispanic-owned businesses increased 15 times the national growth rate. In Maryland, our thriving community has more than 54,000 Hispanic business owners who are staunch economic contributors.
