VIENNA, Maryland–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Steam Mill Farm retreat, in the historic river town of Vienna, is known for its turkey, duck and Canada geese, as well as white-tailed and rare Sika deer. And on Wednesday, Oct. 12, it will be offered at auction, said Tom Saturley, founding partner of Tranzon Auction Properties. Located on the Nanticoke River, the retreat also features excellent fishing for channel catfish, largemouth bass and rockfish (striped bass).
“The farm includes three contiguous, original farmsteads formerly known as the Boog, Webb and Willey farms, as well as two additional duck marsh parcels for conservation and hunting,” said Saturley. “The current owner acquired the farms and land and, over the past decade, meticulously constructed, restored and renovated the entire property,” he said.
The retreat as a whole includes the farmsteads, state-of-the-art stables, paddocks, offices and support buildings. In all, it includes almost 1,000 acres and more than 4,000 feet of deep-water frontage with direct access to the Chesapeake Bay.
The property will be offered in individual parcels ranging from 120 acres to 300 acres. Bidders may make offers on any combination, including one or more farms and other parcels up to the entirety.
The auction will be conducted online as well as live at 11 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday, October 12, at the Boog Farm, 4135 Elliott Island Road, Vienna.
