Recent Business Highlights:
World’s Largest Membrane-based Carbon Capture Plant Fully Operational – Started on schedule in January 2025, a 150 tonnes per day (TPD) carbon capture plant utilizing MTR’s Polaris™ membranes has completed over 2,000 hours of operation at Basin Electric’s Dry Fork Station coal-fired power plant. The largest membrane-based capture plant ever built, this facility is producing high-quality liquid CO2 at a 90% capture rate.
Pall Corporation Collaboration – In February 2025, MTR signed a collaboration with Pall Corporation which aims to promote a highly modular, scalable and cost-effective integrated solution combining Pall’s advanced flue gas filtration and coalescer technology with MTR’s Polaris™ membrane system for carbon capture. Pall’s global reach, deep customer relationships and innovative filtration systems complement MTR’s membrane capture solution. A key objective of the collaboration is to effectively identify, pilot and drive adoption of decarbonization solutions with customers in emission-intensive industries such as cement production, refineries, steel manufacturing, and waste-to-energy facilities.
Providing First Carbon Capture Plant to TSMC –In April 2025, MTR delivered Polaris™ membranes for a carbon capture plant being installed at TSMC’s Zero Waste Manufacturing Center in Taichung, Taiwan. This MTR system will capture CO2 from a TSMC solvent waste incinerator and is scheduled to go online later this year. TSMC has also signed an MOU with the Taiwan Ministry of Environment to provide MTR Polaris™ carbon capture systems for two waste-to -energy plants that provide power to TSMC fabs starting in 2027.
