NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Victor Capital Partners (“Victor Capital”), a leading middle market private equity firm that partners with branded businesses in the specialty consumer, industrial technology and business services sectors, today announced that it has added five experienced private equity professionals to its team to support the firm’s momentum and continued growth trajectory.
The new appointments—which span key business functions including investments, investor relations, business development and finance and portfolio operations—follow the successful fundraise for Victor Capital Partners Fund II (“Fund II”) in 2024. The Fund closed with capital commitments of $310 million and exceeded its fundraising target thanks to strong support from both existing and new investors including a diverse group of respected institutional limited partners.
Investments
Alex Youngwall joins Victor Capital as a Vice President in the firm’s Investments team where he will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing new investments, as well as supporting both current and new platform portfolio companies. He most recently served as a Vice President on the investment team at Aterian Investment Partners, a middle market private equity firm where he led due diligence, underwriting and portfolio management efforts. Earlier in his career, Alex held analyst positions at both Wells Fargo and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Justin Lebek also joins the firm’s Investments team as a Senior Associate to support the evaluation and execution of new investments and help drive value creation initiatives at existing platform portfolio companies. Prior to Victor Capital, Justin was a Senior Associate at MPE Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm. He started his career as an investment banking analyst at BlackArch Partners.
Investor Relations and Business Development
Kim Kile joins Victor Capital as a Senior Advisor focused on building and enhancing the firm’s investor relations and communications functions. Kim was previously a Managing Director and head of fundraising, investor relations and communications at Access Holdings, where she led fundraising efforts for the firm’s flagship funds and co-investments and drove strategic communications initiatives. Prior to Access, Kim spent nearly 18 years at ABS Capital Partners where she held numerous senior positions spanning financial operations, fundraising, investor relations and marketing.
Andrew Hetzel also joins the firm as a Vice President of Business Development, focused on identifying, screening, and sourcing new potential business partners and investment opportunities. He most recently served as a Vice President on the business development team at Staple Street Capital. Prior to Staple Street, he worked in the Sponsor Finance group at CIT Capital where he assisted with underwriting cash-flow-backed loans for private equity firms’ leveraged buyouts and refinancings.
Finance and Portfolio Operations
Brooks Wunder joins Victor Capital as Vice President of Finance, Portfolio Operations to support financial reporting and value creation across Victor’s portfolio companies. He previously served as an Operating Advisor and Vice President of Finance at Atlantic Street Capital Advisors. Prior to that, Brooks was Vice President of Finance at Curio Wellness and earlier in his career was a Controller at several business services companies.
