SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties is pleased to announce that Brent Consedine has been promoted to the role of company president. Consedine brings over 20 years of hands-on, multifaceted real estate experience, as his background includes working as a top-producing agent, branch manager and vice president.
“Brent evolved through progressive leadership roles and recently served as Vice President of Business Initiatives,” said Chris Kelly, President and CEO of HomeServices of America (Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ parent company). “With experience leading operational programs that supported business growth and enhanced collaboration, he brings a steady hand and strong project management skills. Brent’s understanding of the industry and the agent’s journey will serve our team well as we move forward together.”
Since joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties in 2004, Consedine earned respect in every corner of the organization. As a residential sales associate, he built a thorough knowledge of the resources and tools agents need to adapt to the dynamics of the real estate market. As a branch manager, Consedine leveraged this knowledge to lead agents, created an unsurpassed level of service for clients, and built a supportive culture for employees.
Consedine was a part of the executive team responsible for guiding the brokerage through the Covid-19 pandemic. In the role, he showed compassion, strength and creativity while keeping the agent’s experience at the forefront. He was also successful in expanding digital capabilities and working tirelessly to ensure business continuity across a newly remote workforce.
“I am so excited for this and want our team to know that my experience as a manager and agent will factor into all of my decisions. Our agents are the fabric of our company and communities, which is why it is vital that our resources provide them with the support they need to achieve their goals, as this ultimately benefits our clients,” said Consedine.
As the Vice President of Business Initiatives from 2018 to 2025, Consedine supervised operations, compliance, and the alignment of cross-departmental strategies. In his efforts to enhance brand positioning, drive sustainable growth, and streamline internal processes, he built a reputation for thinking long-term and focusing on big-picture strategic goals while solving rapidly evolving, real-time challenges.
With clear communication and a thoughtful approach, Consedine shares a first-hand perspective on the opportunities and challenges agents face on a daily basis. As the market continues to evolve, he remains focused on building a future-ready brokerage where agents are informed, equipped, and supported at every turn.
“The success I’ve been able to achieve is a direct result of the collective efforts of our agents, managers and staff,” adds Consedine. “This is a team, and I feel a tremendous sense of responsibility to support our future success by continuing to lean on the individual strengths of our executives, managers, agents and staff. I’m here to serve and look forward to the opportunities we can build together.”
Consedine holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations from California State University, Fullerton, as well as certifications in training, auctions, senior services, and digital marketing. His background in biotech marketing and clinical trial management adds a unique perspective to his strategic thinking and data-informed decision-making. In the past, Consedine helped develop innovative marketing efforts, including promotional videos with corporate partners.
