CASA Celebrates Its First Year in Virginia

(Arlington, VA) – This Saturday, CASA will celebrate its second year of programming and first year in Arlington digs with a community celebration and announcement of the opening of a second office in Falls Church.

The two Virginia offices organize and provide assistance to the immigrant community in important priority areas including citizenship application assistance and legal clinics, adult education classes, and health access, amongst others.

To celebrate the accomplishments of its first year, CASA will celebrate this Saturday, March 21, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Arlington office with a community event with area residents, international food, and two community leaders from El Salvador who will discuss gold mining in El Salvador and Free Trade.

“Each day, CASA signs up more members in Virginia to take action and fight for the rights of the immigrant community,” said Miguel Angel Correa, a leader activist with CASA in Virginia.  “We have a lot of issues to fight and, together with CASA, we are making great things happen for Virginia.”
