BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Charlesbank is pleased to announce Carolyn Wintner as a 2025 recipient of GrowthCap’s Top Women Leaders in Growth Investing award. Now in its fifth year, the award honors exceptional women who are shaping the future of growth investing through outstanding leadership, demonstrating sustained excellence in their areas of expertise and earning the respect of their peers and stakeholders.
With over a decade of experience in private credit and capital markets, Carolyn oversees all capital markets activities at Charlesbank, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and portfolio management. She also partners closely with the firm’s Credit business on investment structuring and strategy. Carolyn joined Charlesbank in 2019 from Bain Capital Credit, where she focused on private credit underwriting and origination.
With deep expertise across the credit spectrum, Carolyn has been instrumental in sourcing, structuring and executing capital solutions that support Charlesbank’s investment strategies across both equity and credit platforms. Since early 2024, she directed the placement of $25B+ in debt financing, including six dividend recapitalizations returning $2.5B to investors and 15 opportunistic refinancings creating $91M in aggregate run-rate interest expense savings. In addition to being a team player, she is also a strong advocate for women and other dedicated professionals within the firm and the broader industry.
Carolyn earned a BA in Economics, summa cum laude, from Harvard College and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
