Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Washington, D.C.

A celebration of the campaign to create a National Smithsonian American Latino Museum will be hosted by some of the leading Latino civil rights, trade and advocacy organizations.

Washington, DC [CapitalWirePR] April 28, 2017 – The Friends of the American Latino Museum (FRIENDS) and LatinVIP.com, a Latino special events and networking organization, along with several Hispanic professional organizations, businesses and alumni associations, will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Friday, May 5th at Public Bar (1214 18th, NW, Washington, DC). The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and feature DJs, food, drink specials and a performance by Los Gallos Negros.

FRIENDS is an organization dedicated to the creation of a national museum of Latino art, culture, history and heritage in Washington, D.C. The campaign, and its annual Cinco de Mayo celebration, once again counts on the support of Constellation Brands and will be presented by Target. This year, the celebration counts on the media partnership of The Beat, D.C.’s inclusive political pulse, amplifying diverse political leaders in the nation’s capital as well as policies that impact communities of color.

The Cinco de Mayo Networking Happy Hour will feature:

● A rooftop reception for sponsors and co-hosts;
● Food and drink specials;
● A live performance by Los Gallos Negros, one of the leading mariachi bands in the DMV
● DJ’s playing into the evening hours
