Maryland DREAM Act and Latino’s & Education, Both topics relate to Workforce and Economic Development.
The Ana G. Mendez University System-Capital Area Campus, located in Wheaton, MD, will host a Community Forum on the Maryland DREAM Act, and Latino’s & Education, as part of a Voter Registration Campaign – Vote or Remain Silent, launched at the Campus in late August 2012, to encourage and educate students, faculty and the community at-large, on the voter registration process and the upcoming General Elections.
Invited panelists/presenters are: • Mark Hugo Lopez, Pew Hispanic Research Center, Latino’s and Education • Jessy Mejia, Director, Governor’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs – State of Maryland • Representatives, State of Maryland-League of Women Voters • DREAMERS.
