Honduras is the third poorest country in the Western hemisphere and has the highest murder rate in the world. In this dismal environment, children live. Public education does not exist in Honduras, and so these children have little hope of breaking out of the cycle of poverty that has been bestowed upon them by chance.
With Love Grows, a children’s book by Susan Gibbons, one hundred percent of proceeds go to Friends of Hearts for Honduras, a non-profit that supports a elementary school in the town of La Entrada. Here, at Hearts for Honduras, children can receive a quality education for free, and have a chance to turn things around for all Hondurans.
