A magical journey into the heart and soul of the Peruvian food revolution following the dreams of world famous chef Gastón Acurio and his mission to bring his culture to the world, and social progress to Peru.

 

Peruvian director Patricia Pérez has more than 14 years of TV and Film Production experience. After finishing her Masters in Film Directing thanks to a Fulbright grant, she moved to Los Angeles where she has worked as a 2nd AD for several studios  and networks such as Disney, Paramount Pictures, Showtime, CBS, and ABC, among others. Her first documentary MISTURA- THE POWER OF FOOD won over a dozen awards internationally and was broadcast by National Geographic in the US and Direct TV in Latin America.

Her second documentary FINDING GASTÓN is part of the official selection for the acclaimed San Sebastián Film Festival – Culinary Zinema section.

Gastón Acurio is a chef, entrepreneur, and a leader of Peruvian cuisine. With more than 50 restaurants in 12 countries, many award winning books, and a weekly TV show, Acurio has received worldwide acclaim for starting a gastronomical revolution in Peru.
