STATEN ISLAND, New York — Just today, Georgia voters elected two Democrats, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, to the United States Senate giving Democrats control in the upper chamber.
Also today, White Supremacy terrorists breached the Capitol Building to stop the certification election results to officially make Joe Biden the 46th President of the United States. Yesenia Mata, executive director of La Colmena Immigrant Rights Center, issued the following statement:
«Georgia has sent a message to Washington D.C. by electing two pro-immigration reform U.S. Senators. The country is ready for bold and humane immigration reform and it’s up to Congress to deliver. But first, law enforcement and the American people must stop domestic terrorists from intimidating our elected officials. We are a nation that upholds our value of free elections and these display of violence by Trump supporters has no place in this country.»
