GM Baltimore Operations, Baltimore City Public School System & USHYEE Partner

Baltimore, MD [CapitalWirePR] September 29, 2012 – U.S. Hispanic Youth Entrepreneur Education (USHYEE)  partnered with the GM plant in Baltimore and Baltimore City Public Schools to provide a unique look inside engineering at the GM plant in White Marsh, MD. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month students from Patterson High School ‘s Academy of Engineering will hear from GM Hispanic engineers, other GM leaders and tour the GM plant.

«Our event today is about celebrating the Hispanic heritage of both our employees, our customers, and hopefully future customers,» said Mary Ann Brown, GM Baltimore Students Meet with Alma Guajardo-Crossley Operations communications manager.

«The Hispanic community is very important to General Motors and we have reached out to Hispanic students during various auto shows as well as extend an outreach to the Spanish language media. We look forward to highlighting our employees, technology and products to the students, as well as show them the types of opportunities that are available to them with a global company like General Motors.»

The students will hear form GM Hispanic leaders and how Latinos are making significant contributions to GM’s success. This event is a win for Latino students, the Baltimore City School System and USHYEE.» Students met with Bill Tiger, GM Baltimore Operation Plant Manager and Alma Guajardo-Crossley, GM Director of Diversity Initiatives and Baltimore City  representatives.
