Handberg earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Handberg is licensed to practice in Florida and Georgia. Prior to serving as U.S. Attorney, he held senior positions within the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Florida Attorney General’s Office, including criminal chief, chief of the Orlando division, senior litigation counsel, and senior assistant attorney general. As a former federal prosecutor, he also brings extensive experience in white-collar and public corruption matters, including the successful prosecution of more than $500 million in fraud cases. This deep institutional knowledge shapes his pragmatic, proactive approach to client defense and crisis management.
