FARGO, N.D.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#LowerMiddleMarket–LongWater is pleased to announce its investment in Valley Lighting, a provider of commercial lighting and shading solutions based in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. The investment marks the first deployment of capital from LongWater’s inaugural SBIC (Small Business Investment Company) fund.
This milestone represents a significant step in LongWater’s continued commitment to backing strong businesses seeking growth and scale. The SBIC designation from the U.S. Small Business Administration provides enhanced capacity for LongWater to support U.S.-based lower middle market companies with long-term, flexible capital.
LongWater, along with Midwest Mezzanine Funds, provided subordinated debt and minority equity to support lead equity sponsor Caymus Equity’s acquisition of the company. Enterprise Bank provided senior debt financing.
