March to the White House to celebrate the contributions of immigrant workers

The May First Coalition announced this week the march from Virginia to the White House to celebrate the contributions of immigrant workers and protest the harsh anti-immigrant rhetoric and cruel immigration policies of the Trump administration.

«Millions of immigrants have come to the United States in search of the American dream. They have worked hard to build lives, raise families, and contribute to the social and economic development of their communities, states and adopted country, said the organizers.

They added that «the harsh anti-immigrant crackdown of the Trump administration seeks to destroy families and harm our economy».

They will march on May first to remind the administration that Virginians cherish the rich immigrant history and insist that our country and communities remain welcoming and respectful of all who make our great country their home.

The march will be held on May 1st, 2017. They will begin marching at 1:30 pm at Courthouse Plaza (2100 Clarendon Blvd Arlington, VA 22201) and walk to the White House. Visit the website https://goo.gl/maps/3kP4dERMa4v. Also www.vacolao.org. Phone 703-772-1555.
