Lorton, VA; December 14, 2014: Operation Homefront Mid-Atlantic held a Holiday Toy Party this December 14, 2014 where free holiday toys were given to military kids.
Northrop Grumman has joined with Operation Homefront to support these events through a toy collection with their employees, volunteer support at two events and a $25,000 donation to support Operation Homefront’s programs and services for military families.
“The expense of the holiday season often impacts the budgets of our low to mid rank enlisted service members significantly,” said Vivian Dietrich, Executive Director of Operation Homefront Mid-Atlantic.
“For those families with children, parents are often overwhelmed trying to fit the expense of gifts into an already stretched budget. The Holiday Party is a way to ease the stresses of the holiday season by assisting military parents in providing presents to their children.”
Kathy Warden. corporate vice-president at Northrop Grumman said their employees are honored to work with Operation Homefront in bringing smiles to the faces of the children of men and women in uniform.
