Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Governor’s Virginia Latino Advisory Board Host

Small-business summit targeting both new and established Hispanic-owned businesses will feature seminars in both English and Spanish, and a multitude of presenters
ANNANDALE, VA[CapitalWirePR] May 16, 2013– The Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (VAHCC) and the Governor’s Virginia Latino Advisory Board (VLAB) will present Virginia’s premier event for Hispanic-owned businesses, as well as for companies wishing to engage Hispanic-owned businesses. The event will take place on May 30, 2013, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Annandale Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, 8333 Little River Turnpike. The Summit brings together business owners, entrepreneurs, and policy leaders from the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Federal Government to share their insights on growing your business.
“2013 has been a pivotal year for economic recovery in the Commonwealth and our Nation,” says Michel Zajur, VAHCC President and VLAB Chair. “Small businesses have been and will continue to be a large driver for the recovery, and a large portion of those businesses are Latino-owned.  We are pleased to host a Summit where these business owners can come together to learn from both experts and one another in Northern Virginia.”
Key speakers and presenters include Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Jim Cheng and Virginia Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Jimmy Rhee, along with leaders from Northern Virginia and experts on procurement opportunities from the local level to the federal.
Summit attendees will gain valuable information on business strategy, financing, contracting, procurement, and using technology to grow their businesses. This Summit promises to help businesses expand their knowledge of business development, economic growth and gateways to community networks.
