BALTIMORE – On Thursday, July 11, the ACLU of Maryland, Maryland Lawyers Chapter of the American Constitution Society, and the Creative Alliance will present the Baltimore Premiere of the acclaimed documentary, «Two Americans», which highlights the story of 9-year-old Katherine Figueroa, who fights to save her parents from deportation, and with a community group, confronts the actions of Joe Arpaio, «America’s Toughest Sheriff,» whose policies have been found unconstitutional. A panel discussion will follow.
This special screening is timely, as on July 17, an immigration judge will decide whether the family depicted in Two Americans gets to stay together or whether the parents will be deported.
