Honoring the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Salvadoran Women

On Saturday May 21st, 2016 at 10:00 AM to 12 Noon will take place the event «Honoring the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Salvadoean Women» which is cosponsored by the Salvadoran Cultural Institute/Casa de la Cultura El Salvador and the Salvadoran American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, D.C. (SACOC).

This event will be an homage to ten admirable women of the Washington,D.C. metropolitan area who with hard work, determination and creativity have successful businesses, creating jobs and improving the economy and the wellbeing of the area. These women are an example of entrepreneurial spirit and community building.

Blanca Lazo, Blanca’s Restaurant
Darling Paumen, Darling Photographers Mayra Ramirez, La Pradera Restaurant
Ana Rosa Reyes, El Tamarindo Restaurant Lorena Llanes Streb, CertaPro
Maureen Villars,V Cleaning and Maintenance Evelyn Zepeda, Tremendo Towing

This event will take place at Josephine Butler Parks Center, located at 2437 15th Street, Washington, D.C. 2009. The Mistresses of Ceremonies will be Tsi-Tsi-ki Felix, from the Spanish television channel UNIVISION and Raquel Avolevan, from the morning show «Arriba mi Gente» of Megavision Group Channel 21 of El Salvador.
