Tango Lovers Show in Washington

Tango Lovers show transports the audience across the history of tango through its different styles, achieves harmony between tango salon and tango show, and proposes a different perspective of tango showing its evolution over time. Its dynamism gets the audience travel through different stories. The show consists of two parts.
The first one is inspired by the Golden Age of tango having the genre essence as a central axis, mixing wardrobe, dance and songs to bring the audience between years 40 and 50 to make them taste the rhythm of the city of Buenos Aires. The second part shows a different and modern view inspired in the vortex of big cities and the relationships among people while displaying avant-garde aesthetics.
 
About the company
Tango Lovers has been selected by the State of Florida to be part of its Arts on Tour program during 2014 through 2016. Due to its dynamism and high artistic quality, Tango Lovers has been rated by the press as “A Tango Show at The Best Broadway Style”. With the most talented artists from Rio de la Plata (Argentina and Uruguay) on stage, Tango Lovers brings avant-garde aesthetics showing the spectator a tango show at its highest expression. After a rigorous selection process, Tango Lovers presents a cast of world- class dancers, musicians and vocalists with rich international careers combining a balance of tango salon and tango show.
 
About the director
Marcos Ayala Marcos Ayala is a young talent who has toured around the world with renowned Tango companies. He won the World Tango Dance Championship in Japan. His background includes studies of direction, production and a vast international career in Asia, Europe, North America, the Caribbean and Latin America.
