LANGLEY PARK, MD — Latino activists will gather at CASA in Action this Monday to urge the Maryland Hispanic community to get to the polls as election season hits its final stretch.
Political, community and labor leaders will be joined Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown for a rousing rally before spreading out through the neighborhood to urge people to vote.
While every voter is important, organizations attending the rally are particularly targeting Latino voters, who have grown into a bigger share of the electorate with each election.
Against the backdrop of national debate on the future of immigration reform, Maryland activists contend that there is no more important time to show that Latinos are engaged in the political process and will vote for the candidates that vote for them
