Local organization provides health care, family literacy and social services to more than 24,000 area residents
Laurel, MD- WILC Romántica 900am has partnered with Mary’s Center for the first annual Mary’s Center Radiothon on Friday, May 11th from 6am to 7pm. The one-day radiothon is a local effort to raise funds for the organization’s health care, dental, social and education services. The Center uses a holistic, multipronged approach to help individuals access services that set them on the path toward good health, stable families, and economic independence, offering high-quality, professional care in a safe and trusting environment to residents from the entire DC metropolitan region.
Romántica 900am will be airing live from two Mary’s Center locations (8908 Riggs Road, Adelphi, MD 20783 and 8709 Flower Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20901). During the 13 hours of programming, on-air personalities from Romántica 900am will feature interviews from patients, clients and staff members to share their stories with the audience. Listeners are encouraged to make a one-time donation starting at $20. Local businesses will have sponsorship opportunities within the radiothon. All funds raised benefit Mary’s Center’s patients and clients who seek their resources.
