Mary’s Center Celebrates its Annual Gala, Noche Tropical

The celebration takes place as the Center begins its 25th year of service in the DC Metropolitan Area.

 

Washington, DC – Mary’s Center gets ready to celebrate the beginning of its 25th anniversary at its annual gala, Noche Tropical, to be held on October 19, 2012 at the Four Seasons Hotel.

“There are so many reasons to celebrate this year: a new clinic in Prince George’s County, a mobile pediatric dental care unit launched this fall, our dynamic senior wellness center, and our operation of a psychiatric clinic that doubled our capacity to provide mental health services in the DC metropolitan region.” says Maria Gomez, President and CEO.

At Noche Tropical, Mary’s Center will recognize Congressman Steny Hoyer with its Health Services award, Senator Harry Reid with its Public Service award, and Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker, III and Pepco Region President Thomas H. Graham, with Community Service awards.

The event will be emceed by Mary’s Center Honorary Spokesperson NBC4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer.

Slated to raise over $500,000, Noche Tropical will feature a sit-down dinner, silent auction, dessert reception, and dancing.
